Hälsingland

The county of Hälsingland is located 300 kilometers north of Stockholm. The topography and biotope is a interesting mix between Norrland and Svealand. A fertile agricultural land and a long distance from the nobles has permitted to a enriched peasantry to build big houses for the only purpose to make great parties. 7 of these big farm are classed since 2012 in the UNESCO World heritage.

6 days on bike

Through the wonderful country of Sweden, discover the farm, the old fishing towns of the Baltic Sea for a bath of History and culture. The offer include : nights in beautiful addresses and the discovery of swedish gastronomy. A custom trip built up with a local guide.

The GPS attached on your bike will lead you during the 5-6 hours ride per day. It will give you the best way to reach the next stop.

Your luggage are carried everyday from an hotel to another. On the way, you just need a small bag for lunch, water and swim.

Un exemple de parcours

Day 1 : Arrival at 11:00am at Sundsvall's train station.

You are conducted to the starting point : Lörudden, a typical fishing town. Handling of the bikes et short visit of the village. Lunch next to the sea at Junibosand, before riding 50 kilometers on bikes by the lovely coastal road (the Maidenlike Coast : Jungfrukusten) to another fishing town : Mellanfjärden.

Dinner and night at Sjömärket and hotel Mellanfjärden.

Day 2 : 60 kilometers on the coastal road  that will leads you to the peninsula of Hölick. Outdoor Lunch and you make a detour to visit Kuggörarna, a charming town with it's traditional chapel and the fishers selling and smoking fish.

South of the island, dinner and night at Hölick Havsresort after a good sauna.

Day 3 : Leave the coast to reach the lake of Dellen, the biggestin the region. On the way, the farms Ystegårn and Frägsta, for a "fika". Outdoor lunch.

After 50 kilometers, a sauna, a dinner and a nice room are waiting for you at the manson Försså Herrgård.

Day 4 : A long road through the forest leads you to the river Ljusan. After 50 kilometers and a oudoor lunch, you arrive at Orbaden SPA & resort for a sauna, a dinner and a room.

At 500 meters, Gästgivars, one of the 7 farms classed in UNESCO world's heritage where if you want you can have a guided tour inside.

Day 5 : The trip continue toward South-East. A stop in Växbo mill (Växbo Kvarn) : lunch and visit  of the famous linen weaving workshop.

Again 50 kilometers, followed by a dinner and night on a island at the hotel Kungsholmen.

Day 6 : Only 26 kilometers left to ride ! Visit of Erik-Anders' farm, one of the 7 classed in UNESCO world's heritage. Lunch on site. You will be driven to Söderhamn's train station for the return.

Guided tour in farmhouse and safari:

Detour by the beautiful  lake Dellen, the bigest in the region. The route pass by the farms of Delsbo and Kristofers (UNESCO world's heritage). Night, sauna and copious dinner at Järvsöbaden. Next day, small walk in the animal park of Järvsö around nordic animals in their natural environment (moose, lynx, wolverine). You take the bike to Orbaden, at 30 kilometers. Lunch at the decorated farmhouse Gästivars (UNESCO world's heritage) and guided tour. Sauna, dinner and a good night at Orbaden SPA & resort, before continuing the trip next day.

Night safari

Take a break at Orbaden SPA & resort. During the morning, you have a first contact with the guide. After lunch, you go to the hide in the forest. On the way, you may cross the road of a moose or a grouse. Dinner in the hut, and you pass the night on the lookout. Breakfast at Orbaden before continue the trip to hotel Kungsholmen.

Kayaking on Dellen

Take a break at Forsså Herrgård. You take an inflatable kayak on the biggest lake of the region. you have to make 20 kilometers to reach a small canal that leads you to the nordic part of the lake. Lunch on one of the small island. and exploration of the many other island. If you feel tired and don't want to go home by yourself, a car can drive you back to Forsså Herrgård for a dinner, sauna and room.

Explore the cave

Take a break at Hölick Havsresort. SPA, restaurant and exploration of spectacular caves, you will have a calm day before taking the road again.

Huge rocks form a network of tunnels and gib rooms over more than 1 kilometer.

A guide is recommended.

Visit Stockholm

Day 1,  a car pick you up at Arlanda airport. You will be driven to you Hotel in the city. The rest of the day, walk in the trendy neighborhood of Södermalm.

Day 2 with the guide, you discover the different places of Stockholm, the cathedral and Vasamuseum aswell (or Skansen).

Day 3, visit of the city hall and you take the boat to Drottningholm Palace.

Day 4, a car take you to the starting point of your biking trip.

Breakfasts, lunches and dinners are included from the first evening until the last lunch at Erik-Anders' farm.
